Hi All!,,
First of all, I've got ppp working under my user name now. And I want to gave a BIG thanks everyone who gave me hints on what to do.
Glad you got it to work!!
Now, how did you set your computer's time from the net? My computer loses about 5-10 minutes per day. In fact, it seems that it got worst since I put Linux on and stopped using M$.
Jim I can be of partial help. I tried a few methods and settled on theis one. Go out on the net (sunsite) and look for a program called rdate. Then, (and here is where I can't help) you have to find a time server close to you. I forget what docs I finally found that had this info, sorry. Anyway do 'rdate -s time.server.domain' and your clock is set. I use a server in Vermont (I'm in New York) and find the time is within 1 second all the time. To save you some time, I will attach the rdate tar.gz file for you on a direct post. I didn't find it in the SuSE CD's. wayne
