But the reason is "higher level": Tux still does not run createrepo against his repository.
So still you have to download his files and do a "rpm -Uhv" by hand. I am sure this will get better soon.
You can also download the whole directory to wherever you like (usr/src/packages/RPMS seems a goof place) and do the `createrepo /usr/src/packages/RPMS/` yourself after installing createrepo Next add /usr/src/packages/RPMS/ as an instalation source. Hey, if one would do an rsync of all those SUSER-* directories, put them in one directory, do a createrepo on that directory and put them back online, you would have created a 'SUSER-FROM_ALL'. :-) One server where people can upload to their specific directories. Over that a script that copies all to one directory. run createrepo over that and have that one server do the rsync to ftp.gwdg.de/pub/... Could that be a step between a complete upload and what we have now? I am just trowing ideas up in the air, smash them down, if you like. houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html
