There are still people out there who are thinking that VLAN desperation is a security measure, that its the same as having two physically separate switches. There's no convincing some people, even when presenting them with evidence. "The book says ..." so it must be so. Through my university time and well into my career I was correcting textbooks; even the profs that wrote the books told us to make corrections in their own work. Not just misprints or errors&omissions but later thought and revision.
