I just grabbed some of the fonts from my Windows machine. After fixing the RPM spec file everything works great except for the typical Truetype at small font sizes. Does anyone know what the optimal point is to turn off TrueType? I.e. 10pt? 8pt? Hmm, my problem was that I use Tahoma which i really like. Also some fonts are not designed to be anti-aliased at small point sizes, so you switch that off by editing Xftconfig. Without recompiling, the fonts look weird at small sizes w. aa turned off.
Right. But my problem with SuSE is that it simply does not seem to have any decent fonts that can be anti-aliased, in any size, even looking bad.
