PS. The list of installation sources on the Novel site is hopelessly out of date.
i wouldn't know, this is an *openSUSE* mail list...i've never seen or run either SLES or SLED, have tried asking on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) mail list, or in a group on forums.novell.com ?
PPS. I tried to remove sources from the list but this also failed: # installation_sources -d -a nfs://xxx31/export/sles10sp2sdk/
i have no idea how zypper works on SLES 10, but i believe it *is* very different from openSUSE 11.1 which this 'cheat sheet' was built for: http://en.opensuse.org/Image:Zypper-cheat-sheet-1.pdf so, you are ok to glance at that, but *study* man zypper finally, exactly what operating system and version are you running? i ask because it looks like you maybe are running SLES 10 SP2 x86_64 yet tried to source openSUSE 11.1 packages from opensuse.linux.edu.lv/update/11.1 and i don't think you can do that, at least not by using the automatic systems like YaST or Zypper....remember, SLES 10 is a commercial OS which requires you to pay an annual support fee to Novell in order to access the SLES repos.. not the FREE openSUSE repos... see what i mean? (but, correct me if i am wrong..and i *guess* it might be possible to download 11.1 (or 11.2) RPMs and manually install them....but, i'd guess you would soon tire of "dependency hell" and run back to paying the low annual fee to keep your system pure..
