Listmates, Interesting quirk with tightvnc server. 11.0 installed with KDE 3.5. Using tighvnc server with "startkde &" as the desktop WM causes vncserver to serve the KDE 4 desktop. It's pretty neat, but I don't understand how it is doing it. Here is the desktop: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/screenshots/suse11vnc.jpg The desktop had all the cool stuff around the desktop icons and in the top right corner of the desktop. If vncserver can serve this desktop, can I use it for my regular desktop? Can I just modify .xinitrc somewhere to make that happen. Neat oddity. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
