But I run 'kbuildsycoca4', gives me the output as follows:
kbuildsycoca4 running... kbuildsycoca4(3715) parseLayoutNode: The menu spec file contains a Layout or DefaultLayout tag without the mandatory Merge tag inside. Please fix your file.
So is it some type of thing am I missing?
Hmm - no idea, sorry.
rpm -ql kdirstat | grep bin
The output to this command is:
/opt/kde3/bin/kdirstat /opt/kde3/share/apps/kconf_update/fix_move_to_trash_bin.pl
Gives us /opt/kde3/bin/kdirstat which is likely not in your path due to kde3 being so out of date. Nothing to stop you running the full command from either krunner (Alt-F2) or a command line though.
It means that the full command is '/opt/kde3/bin/kdirstat' which is to be run?
Exactly.
However, for unnecessary complications, I have uninstalled this application of KDE3, but still the following directory exists:
/opt/kde3
Should/Can I manually delete all the contents of this directory (/opt/kde3) as 'root', since I guess the only KDE 3 application (which I installed was this one, 'kdirstat')?
Indeed. Also make sure you removed any dependencies that would have been installed with kdirstat, eg kdelibs3 and kdelibs3-default-style. Finally, have a look through this directory to make sure there are no files belonging to any installed rpms (rpm -qf <filename> if in doubt) before you remove the directory. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
