I currently have a Sabrent TV card, that some how got miss configured by an OS update (formated, re-installed 11.1 and GNOME (from KDE 3.5)). The modprobe override is in modeprobe.config.local.
I don't think I really need a "tuner" card, since I used to get my uverse signal from channel 3.
I realize this card is old technology, so I looking for a cheapish, but good TV card that will work with AT&T UVerse (and Linux).
Your Sabrent card should be fine. You'll get the best video quality using an s-video connection, anything better than that you will need a capture card with component video input. There are "HDTV tuner cards," but note that most are for over-the-air HDTV i.e ATSC and DVB-T. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
