I am very disappointed by the suse linux wine rack. shipping a product before it was tested on SUSE9.0 .... hmmm anyway, I need help now: It seems I successfully installed wordXP and excelXP. but I cannot see any entries in any menu (neither gnome nor kde)- so how shall I know how to start e.g. wordXP. The only entry I have is IE (and this works- thanks, codewearvers) please just tell me, how to start word, excel and powerpoint on the command-line in a terminal. Or how to get the entries in the menu I will do the rest myself (if I can ) many thanks christoph On Wed, 2003-12-17 at 23:55, Francois Gouget wrote:

OK. The problem seems to be there on all the other apps as well, though, now I've installed them; IE, DreamWeaver MX, etc. I'm assuming they should be under the Crossover menu?
CrossOver Office 2.1.0 shipped before we could test it with SuSE 9.0 and each new Linux release handles menus slightly differently thus breaking our menus... So this is why you don't see the menus on SuSE 9.0.
I believe the CrossOver menu is working. Then the only thing you should need to do to get the 'Windows Applications' menu (with all the Microsoft Office menu entries inside) to work is the following:
mv "~/.kde/share/applnk/Windows Applications" "~/.kde/share/applnk/WindowsApplications"
We will have a better fix in the next release but this should get you going. Let me know if we can help you further.
