I do not think the btrfs thing applies. I am looking to do a complete disk clone. The partition table and all partitions. Everything. It is not an incremental backup or a periodic sync. It is a byte-for-byte mirror image. The only thing I could expect is that the UUID for the disk might change and then require an update of that in /etc/fstab. I'm not sure about that.
