xfig export problems

Hi @all, I have the annoying problem that xfig doesn't support utf-8 which was introduced with Suse 9.1. I noticed that in /etc/sysconfig/ xfig is by default started with the setting LC_ALL=de_DE.ISO-8859-1 xfig In spite of this setting the export to the ps format results in an empty page which makes sense because the export is done by fig2dev. It is also not possible to print from xfig. The export works fine if one passes export LANG=de_DE@euro for example to xterm and uses fig2dev -L ps file.fig file.ps How can I set the locale for both, xfig and fig2dev ? LC_ALL=de_DE.ISO-8859-1 xfig fig2dev seems not to work. Thank you for your responses Joerg
