Hi,
I have several installs of Leap 42.3, and almost all of them have the same problem with yast2 - launching it results in: /sbin/ast2: line 447: 30273 segmentation fault (core dumped) $y2ccbin $Y2UI_ARGS “$@“
However, yast2 —gtk works just fine.
No updates from repositories really helps.
Anyone know how to fix this issue ? Thanks in advance. Please check whether the libyui-qt* packages are installed.
Yes, they are installed
libyui-qt7 - 2.47.1-1.3 libyui-qt-pkg7 - 2.45.13-1.1 libyui-qt-graph7 - 2.44.5-4.4
I see many yast2 update patches that are to fix crashes, you need to update your system with zypper ref and then zypper up -t patch and see if the crash goes away. If it doesn't then it's probably a bug and you need to file a bug report with logs. The bug assignee will tell you which logs to provide and how to post them. I don't use yast very often and I keep my 42.3 system up to date with zypper.
