Try reinstalling YaST2. I was running SuSE Enterprise when I attempted to launch YaST2 from KDE, it just didn't start. I just reinstalled. Michael Lockwood -----Original Message----- From: Bernie Gardner [mailto:bernie.gardner@verizon.net] Sent: Tuesday, May 28, 2002 11:09 AM To: SuSE Subject: [SLE] yet anotherYaST2 problem I have been unable to use yast2 from kde for a couple of weeks. I have 8.0, and have not upgraded to kde3.0.1. The control center comes up ok, but most of the modules don't work. The text/ncurses version works fine. I tried running from a terminal in kde after sux which results in this message when trying to run one of the modules: # yast2 quickstarting sw_single beginner /sbin/yast2: line 154: 25673 Segmentation fault /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base $module "$@" qt -geometry "$Y2_GEOMETRY" -style="$Y2_STYLE" -fn $Y2_XFONT I added line breaks for ease of emailing, the last three lines were a single line in the output. I don't think this is related to kde. I got identical results from gnome. I have updated to the latest version of yast2 using you, but the problem existed before the update.
