Hi,
I have KVM guest running on SuSE Leap 42.3 PC (with 2 NICs), and current net setup (done by Yast) made a br0 bridged to eth0. Is it possible to remove IP from the br0 definition ?
yes, it is certainly possible - if you don't need to access the PC via that IP address. Here is one of my xen bridges: 3: eth1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq master xenbr1 state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 00:12:79:cf:4b:30 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 5: xenbr1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default link/ether 00:12:79:cf:4b:30 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet6 fe80::212:79ff:fecf:4b30/64 scope link valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever As you can see, no IP addresses anywhere (except for the ipv6 link local). -- Per Jessen, Zürich (4.3°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
