He doesn't recommend apache for php: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2014-03/msg00676.html
Yes, but mod php can still be used and still works, even if there is something better around.
from msg00676: '... it has been broken for a quite a while (aprox since 2009) and no one is going to fix it.'
So which is it? Broken where? In Opensuse or upstream? Sure seems to be a LOT of people using it (outside of opensuse), if it's upstream.
We think he means that many bugs are left unresolved, e.g. this one from 2008: https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=45945 The last update was in 2010. Anyway, it may be worth giving fpm a try no? It may solve your php problems and it only makes a few minutes. L x
Lynn Please focus. You're clearly not reading my responses. This isn't a PHP issue (mod or otherwise). An html file (index.html) referring to css files is STILL serving the css incorrectly using Christians build of Apache 2.4.10. The issue just happened to be highlighted by PHP based apps. In any case, the bug you cite is a "bike shed" for the issue I'm talking about. Take it elsewhere. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
