please, if you didn't made too many mistakes, read the linux partition-rescue mini howto. your linux partition is NOT lost as long as you don't write on it's sectors. If you had writen down the sector card (fdisk -l - lpr) you could have your disk right new at hand, but even if you did not, with a little experience, you can save all. in summary, start the suse rescue system, load fdisk and try to re partition the same as you did at the first time, an mount you linux partition. If you fail , try an other starting sector number. It can be long, but writing the partition table, you don't erase any data. Beware, this is true of linux, not dos/windows! windows fat is destroyed by dos/win fdisk, linux's is not! linux win! -- Linux hp-41 APTEP SF <A HREF="http://perso.club-internet.fr/jdanield</A">http://perso.club-internet.fr/jdanield</A> jdanield@club-internet.fr jdanield@usa.net -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
