Found the documentation, went through it, created a database, started postmaster, but cannot get access to the database as user, I get permission denied. Supposedly the user should have access, but no such luck. Also, files are not where the documentation says they should be.
First off does you create the users in pqsql? If you did, did you terminate it with /g (or else the user woulden't be created)? The config files for postgres is in /var/lib/pgsql/data, please go through them. Also, It seem like some clients insists on using TCP/IP for connection rather than Unix sockets, so you should turn that on. Also, I find that doing a rcpostgresql restart after changing the config file doesn't work, while rcpostgresql stop; rcpostgresql start does.
