In yast there is the option to manage repositories. From there one can select to add a repository. I selected community repositories thinking that all the opensuse repositories would appear in that list, but apparently not and I was wondering why?
I find repository selection to the the most mindboggeling task on OpenSuse compared to other Distros. There are so many choices, and so many pitfalls, and the descriptions are so close as to be indistinguishable. It requires parsing the descriptions like a lawyer to determine which of the repositories is safe and which send me down a roller coaster of broken packages and non working stuff. Just when you think you are safe, the actual content of a repository changes and suddenly what you thought was safe becomes the bleeding edge repository as happened here: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.suse.kde/11835 I appear to be stuck on KDE 4.6.0. But 4.6.1 has passed me by and 4.6.2 is out. But is it stable? -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
