Hi!
Anyone is using MythTV? I would really appreciate if you share your info - which video capture/TV cards you are using? Does it supports HD, simultaneus capture from several TV channels. Have you installed remote control for MythTV?
Thanks in advance for any info.
I'm using the Myth packages from Packman without any problems. Regarding TV cards, I'm using 3 Kworld DVB-T 220 cards which are no longer available. For a full list of what TV cards are supported by the kernel see http://bttv-gallery.de/ Be warned that some manufactures change the chipset but keep the same model number. On Digital broadcasts it is possible to record a number of concurrent shows if they are on the one transport stream. But in general you need one tuner per channel you wish to record. See http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Record_multiple_channels_from_one_multi... You will definitely need a remote control if you plan to use Myth on your TV. Some info can be found here http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Using_an_IR_Blaster_with_MythTV http://www.lirc.org/ http://ivtv.writeme.ch/tiki-index.php?page=Remotes I suggest it may be useful to join the myth users mailing list. http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users -- Regards, Graham Smith -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
