I know now that - Bugzilla and the Wiki - are not connected to IDP.
They are.
Ok, in earlier thread here I asked...> Ok, so if I change my account information (which I currently do not wish to) in IDP portal. That reflects login for Bugzilla/OBS *and* what else?
Answer is below.
If you change your email address using the self service portal, it will reflect on the next login in most services, but unfortunately not all - for example login to Bugzilla and the Wiki will break and require administrative intervention.
So Bugzilla and OBS *are* connected but will still break and one needs to contact admin then? Why do they break?
They are connected in the sense that Bugzilla is using IDP for user verification. Maybe my reply "IDP is used to store account information" was not quite correct. IDP is used to authenticate users. To this extent IDP is "connected" to most openSUSE services, known to me. But other account information (like e-mail) may still be individually stored by each service. As the account in Bugzilla is associated with E-Mail, when Bugzilla receives different E-Mail from IDP login fails because this E-Mail is not known in Bugzilla. To fix it IDP would need to push updated information into Bugzilla. I have no idea whether this is even possible.
