And the package is indeed orphaned: YaST displays it in red.
Odd. I do not see this for any packages that I have installed from a local RPM. And I have a number of these. I am looking now at one specific one that I obtain from a hardware vendor. No repository. In fact, one of them started life as a DEB file that I convert to an RPM for local install. I cannot see anything in yast that looks different for this package compared to one from a repo. Except in the Technical Data tab, the Packager is not set, and the Build Host is listed as the computer on which I made the RPM. Nothing in red anywhere.
What does YasT showing a package in red really mean?
See attached :-) (the line below the selector, which says "imap") Also, if in that window you select the "repositories" tab, then as secondary filter "unmantained packages", it should list this orphan.
BTW, this is on a current Tumbleweed.
Me, Leap, but it has always been this way, I doubt TW would be different. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)
