I use 10.0 and the new repository is usable. You can simply add it to the Yast sources. You'll get an error message, but you can say "continue anyway" (sorry, I have the german version, don't know the original messages). Then when you start Yast's install part it just works.
But I have some (smaller) problems wth the new KDE 3.5.3, so maybe first follow the list a while to see, if I'm the only one :-)

Thank you, Daniel. Your answer encouraged me to experiment further and now I managed to do it with my 10.0.... But, it seems that for 9.3 it definitely will not be possible, so I'll investigate this 'smart' stuff that they recommend. So I was wrong in regard of 'no adequate substitute'... I am sorry for my quick triggering. Really, now it seems that *there is* some substitute, although with a little annoyance included... But the feeling that kde users are singled out is still there to stay. I cant' help it.
