I have an external SATA3 2TB Western Digital HDD which is formatted (at the moment) in ntfs.
When I switch it on Dolphin opens this HDD and I can see all the files it contains.
But unlike what I got in 12.2 when I start mc (Midnight Commander, my much preferred file manager) mc doesn't 'see' this HDD. In 12.2 it used to be mounted in /media/<name of HDD> .
Well, then use "df" to find out where your DE mounts it. Most likely it is /run/media/<your-user-name>/<device-label>
In /etc/filesystem I have 'ntfs' as an addition to the list of file systems.
So, why isn't the HDD mounted in /media as in the past?
This is question to those who write this software, not to those who use it.
Any clues, please?

PS The HDD is also recognised in XP and accessible by all file managers (which I have in XP).
