i've done today an update (I know Never change...).
Update or upgrade?
Update.
Update of what, which components/ packages?
11.3 with KDE Factory and Playground Repositories. IIRC the most Packages was a update from boost/libboost Packages.
Ok. This plus the further information makes me think ...
Upgrade from which openSUSE(?) version to which version?
11.3 to last available
But now i'm getting: sascha@linux-uhd2:~> lyx terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc
Has anyone seen a issue similar that this?
No, lyx works well here.
I have just done a backtrce:
Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted. 0x00007ffff581f9e5 in raise () from /lib64/libc.so.6 (gdb) bt #0 0x00007ffff581f9e5 in raise () from /lib64/libc.so.6 #1 0x00007ffff5820ee6 in abort () from /lib64/libc.so.6 #2 0x00007ffff6079cdd in __gnu_cxx::__verbose_terminate_handler() () from /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 #3 0x00007ffff6077ef6 in ?? const*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > > > >, boost::regex_traits<char, boost::cpp_regex_traits<char> > >::match_imp() ()
... that you should try to revert the libboost change. Please give the libboost_regex1_42_0 package from oS 11.3 a try.
If that doesn't fix the issue revert the other packages changed by the usage of the "KDE Factory and Playground Repositories". Hi Lars. The Solution was to downgrade lyx. Now it runs perfectly :-)
