I *think* the trick is to use kppp which takes care of most of the necessary set-up for you. When I called SuSE and told them I was trying to use diald, etc. they told me just to use kppp and its GUI based ISP configuration instead.
I've yet to get round to configuring ppp and I don't much like KDE so I'm using Window Maker. Presumably I can't use kppp in this case, is that right? If so what other method is recommended. I've tried the susePPP setup with YaST and that doesn't seem to work at all.
