Correct.
Correct what?
They are not providing any more help. It works for ubuntu, fedora, clear linux, mint. I get the same error on opensuse and manjaro. I posted here in hopes that someone had used the script method to connect to eduroam and had a way to get it to work.
This appears to be about your uni IT people. So complain to their bosses if they aren't fulfilling their responsibilities! What about my question about the intertubes? Don't tell me this answer applies to that? FWIW, you will find that the problem is most likely in the setup of your networking. Per's setup on his 15.2 Leap does work, so it's certainly possible. You didn't say what version of Leap you tried, nor what network settings you have.
Thanks,

I'm trying to connect to eduroam wifi with opensuse (I've tried tw and leap), but when I run the script we are provided, it says:
Could not continue with credentials collection.
On other distros, it pops up a browser so I can authenticate on our sso web page, then sets up the wifi connection. Any idea what that error means or how I can get connected to eduroam with the institution provided script? There are no manual setup instructions for wifi settings here, so I can't do that.
Did you try asking your uni support people?
The eduroam site - https://www.eduroam.org/ says: "Support for eduroam is provided by your home institution. You should contact the IT Services department or helpdesk of your organisation for assistance with configuring your mobile device, laptop or phone for eduroam use."
Did you try searching the intertubes for that error message? There seem to be various links out there that may help. As well as the source code.
