One main difference: The German version contains all that crypto stuff like ssh, cipe and so on. Because we are exporting from the USA, we have to respect the US export laws which do not allow exporting crypto software. Even when it has been imported before.
So why export from the USA? Why not supply from Germany so that units are shipped TO the USA office for distribution within the USA but orders for all other countries are satisfied from Germany.
Way too expensive. People are not willing to pay the same price for shipment they are already paying for the product. Understandable ;-) The only solution would be to have two international versions: One for the USA and one for the free world. Maybe we will do so in the future. -o) Hubert Mantel Goodbye, dots... /\\ _\_v - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
