So I thought I ask: is there anyone that has managed to make it work and how (what program and what modifications).
Yes, I have working openvpn clients on 13.2. Not with networkmanager though.
Out of potential possibilities which program / solution is the safest? Is there any plan to backport a fix it in 13.2? Should I manage to fix and to connect it: since the "belongs to what firewallzone" in networkmanager settings is also broken, I hope that opensuse Firewall is still up when using openvpn (or am I without knowing then exposed DMZ or even internal?). How can I check if firewall is protecting me when I am under openvpn (provided there will be one day and I am going to make it work).
Check your firewall rules with: "iptables --list -n"
If this is just a KDE problem (which I doubt): would it be possible (and safe) to run a separate OS within kvm and use from there openVPN. Would I be able to set up such a machine in order to be able to access only one shared folder in userland and nothing else?
Yes, sounds entirely reasonable. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (7.4°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
