On a server installation, I see 932 vendor changes to "SUSE LLC" ? all fairly basic stuff, like e.g. bzip2.
Other than that, only one minor hiccup - because I used '--no-recommends', package 'kernel-default-optional' was not installed which means the machine now failed to boot. Installing that package manually and rebuilding the initrd, and the machine is now fine.
Sounds like a bug?
Yep, and it's already in good hands. https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1184413
If the system fails to boot because of a missing package, then that package is a hard dependency rather than a 'recommends', no?
