It doesn't show both of them installed, but it does jack up the dependencies an awful lot, whereas before I was getting only 2 dependency noties, now I'm getting what looks like 20 because they insist on audiofil rather then audiofile.
Maybe you need to upgrade rpm. Mine is rpm-3.0.5-0. When I installed audiofile it removed audiofil from the rpm database.
Oh, it removed the previous package no problem, but, what I said was that there are still packages that still think it should be called audiofil and because audiofil is nolonger installed, there are failed dependencies. :)
I'll be da?>&*. Your right. It seems that the package xpm also is giving the same dependancy problem for me. It was removed with the install of x4.0 rpms from suse a long time ago. Surely there is a way with rpm to clean up the rpm data-base. Maybe what we wanted is for rpm NOT to have removed the old packages from the database but just overwrite the old package. -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com
