Hi everyone - Oops I got the AVI files to play by installing some extra libraries using Yast. My apologies to everyone especially Radu Voicu who was very prompt to offer a suggestion. Best wishes to all. - Ken On Friday 31 October 2003 4:24 pm, Kenneth Payne wrote:
Hi -
One of the things that seems to have fallen off the wagon in my upgrade to SuSE 9.0 is the ability to play AVI files.
I've got some litle animations made with Blender. They are JPEG-based AVIs. They've always played perfectly under previous versions of SUSE using the KDE embedded viewer or AKtion or MPlayer.
Now they won't play at all. Xine tells me that they are MJPEG and it's an unsupported codec.
I've tried installed the old KDE multimedia stuff with YAST but they won't play these files either.
Any suggestions?
