Hi all- I just compiled a new kernel and when I rebooted I got messages like these: modprobe: can't locate module nls_cp437 unable to load NLS charset cp437 (nls_cp437) I guess I needed to select the corresponding codepages under the file systems menu (namely 437 and 850) but I forgot. What does NLS do and is it necessary? In addition to the above, I alos got this: LD setting verify failed, this may not be a problem Try adding (VERIFYLD N) to the top of your script Error occured executing request 'LD 2' on or around line 317 --- further action aborted Anyone know what LD is? How do I know if it's a problem? Should I turn of verifying LD? Thanks, Mark - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
