[opensuse] headset and loudspeakers at the same time

hi I have loudspeakers plugged into the rear of my Desktop computer. If I plug my headset mic and speakers into these rear outputs everything works fine. If I want to use the headset, I have to unplug the loudspeakers and then plug in the headset. I have the same sockets on the front of the computer. Nothing is output from the front sockets. Is there any way I can have both without having to plug and unplug each time? I know I can get a swich for around €10 but I think I may have this already. Has this been solved by anyone?
