Second question: The DVD I put in is 4.7 GB. I had used DAR to make DVD slices of 4.3 GB each. When I went to burn them on the DVD, K3B balked and told me I couldn't make DVD's larger than 4GB.
Huh?
This is the first time I try to make a large DVD on 10.0 but on this same machine under 9.3 I don't recall having that issue. (I'm not sure I was using the same DVD media.)
I took "Suse" out of the search and found the answer to my second question. It seems that under K3b is a program called makeisofs - which actually handles the making of the filesystem for the DVD. This program apparently has a 4.0 GB limit on filesizes. I'll investigate further. -- kai www.perfectreign.com linux - genuine windows replacement part
