Good point. Except that /usr/src/linux points to /usr/src/linux-2.6.11.4-21.9 . So if it's in one, it should be in the other.
Why this file is not provided where it is looked for by third party programs does not make sense. I know that VMware also looks for this file. I am also using the SMP kernel.
As am I.. I sent another message with the complete instructions from the earlier ati driver versions, and I used the same info with this new one. So far it's working although I don't really push it that much.
