Hlash animations put my CPU at 100% and a simple page forward takes a minute when I'm reading a web page.
I want to stop them, even avoid them loading unless I say "yes" to each one.
Is it possible?

Carlos E. R. wrote: plugin "noscript". It stops/blocks all scripts from running on all pages. This will prevent any scripting from running by default. You can selectively let each script run on a page, or let all scripts run on a particular domain, for example. Lots control over each page.
