firewalling

Being the Newbee that I am this seems a good option until I understand ipchains a bit more etc etc. So now I have a script called rc.firewall in /etc/rc.d . Question is how and when to run it at startup. The install manual from the website uses RH as an example and some things are different in directory structure. Suggestions?? <p>Greets Eelco
