Hi
Newbie here... well new to SuSE anyhow! Got 8.2 and installed slocate trouble is all I get is this when I try to run it:
williamblake@morpheus:~> slocate kopete warning: slocate: could not open database: /var/lib/slocate/slocate.db: No such file or directory
Anybody able to point me in the right direction
I've never heard of slocate but I assume it is a variant of locate. With the locate command, you must first run a command called updatedb to create the .db used by the locate command. I would assume the same goes for slocate.
