* Franklin Maurer (nebbish@sprynet.com) [020826 22:09]: ::Thanks, ::Before installing I read that first part about the clean system and I ::hadn't used the force ... sorry couldn't resist. , but i wasn't aware ::about the YOU problem. But it makes sense now. :: ::In the readme about the newer apt it said synaptic wasn't fuctional, so ::I'm going to stay with this one. :: ::So is there a way to remove the YOU updates? ::Or just save my /home/framau and reinstall? I knew I shouldn't have run ::YOU the other day! Just updated everything too. I had to do this a couple times. What you do is this... rpm -q <package name> ex. rpm -q NVIDIA_kernel This will return the versions that rpm thinks are installed and most of the time both versions. I've found that you can do an "rpm --rebuilddb" and it will bitch about the 2nd entry and delete it from it's db. After this you can run apt-get just fine. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I tell you what you should see.
