14.000 fps? At what resolution? What kind of monitor do you have to be able to utilize that kind of fps?
With my old PCI Matrox Mystique i could squeeze 100 fps if i set the box at some 50x50 pixels. But sure, at 640x480 it was down to 5 or something.. :) If you get 14 thousand fps at anything above 1024x768 i would be very surpriced...
I never told that .... Hello, No it is not at 50x50 pixels, it is at the default resolution of glxgears which is about 300x300 pixels. My monitor is an DFP EIZO Flexcan L778 with digital and analog entries. I made some more measurements : SuSE 10.1 64 bits Digital entry : 300x300 -> 16606 fps 1280x1024 -> 3410fps 420x420 -> 14100 fps SuSE 10.1 64 bits Analog entry : 300x300 -> 16791 fps 1280x1024 -> 3383 fps SuSE 10.1 32 bits Digital entry : 300x300 -> 15710 fps 1280x1024 -> 3410fps SuSE 10.0 32 bits Digital entry : 300x300 -> 14500 fps 1280x1024 -> 2950fps but it is the former driver. So it is not 14000 fps on a 50x50 stamp. Michel.
