You've got a clear advantage over me :-)
It runs "updatedb", so that you can later run "locate". If you don't want it, uninstall findutils-locate...rpm (it is not installed by default, you selected it manually), or dissable the automatic update - but I will not tell you how, I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader :-P
Oh, I've turned the feature off ... usually I just do a "rm -f /etc/cron.*/*" it's much simpler really ... bummer is, it's being recreated every time I update. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to "ln -sd /etc/cron.* void".
