[SLE] GNU enscript 1.5.5

I have GNU enscript 1.5.5-47 (SuSE 6.1). If I don't wait until one job finishes, subsequent jobs are garbled and/or slide off the page to the right (2-up printing in landscape mode) and onto the next page. This doesn't seem to happen with any other printing. Anyone have this experience or know of a fix?
