Since Lexmark doesn't support Linux as it should
Depends on what one means by "as it should." At least they acknowledge the existence of Linux and provide drivers for many of their most popular printers on their web site. I remember the first time I wrote to Lexmark about Linux drivers. Their attitude was basically "we don't support Linux, we don't care if you want to use our printers with Linux, we are not going to make drivers available, tough." They've come a long way since then. Many of their printer boxes actually have penguin logos on them and/or Linux is listed in the chart of supported OSs on the box. I got a nice little E210 personal laser last year (gdi). Downloaded the driver from Lexmark, and it's been working great in Linux ever since. *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 8.0 Professional KDE 3.0.0 KMail 1.4 This is a Microsoft-free computer Bryan S.
