Thats the standard driver and its loaded. Try reinstalling everything that starts with alsa and if you're running kde run configure desktop (personal settings) - sound & multimedia - sound system - hardware and set it to alsa or autodetect. Then in the general tab you have a button to test sound. There are other things you can play with as well. Check your kmix installation. If you use gnome I'm afraid I can't help.
