In my SLES8, in a Pentium III 850 Mhz with 256 Mb in RAM, 3 Ethernet with a lot of IP and have No buffer space available and some disconnecting in the more day traffic.
In the /var/log/messages i have some like this:

I can't ping. I need to restart the net but the system has the problem again in few minutes. If is a weekend or night, (less people working), I don't have problem.

The lo is good. I was cheking in Suse Support and speak about it.
