in thunderbird, i receive from most people most times emails shown as html.
i do always reply as plain text - to save energy consumption on servers and to make my emails for other people more save to be sure inside plain text a virus is nearly impossible. (google for: energy consumption of emails )
but since maybe one or two years, when i have a html email and the text is shown:
blablabla blabla blabla etc. next line and another line
after pressing reply:
blablabla blabla
blabla etc.
next line
and another line
so there are most times additional empty lines inside.
is there somehow something inside the configuration that i could get rid of this additional new lines?
correct in my opinion would be:
blablabla blabla blabla etc. next line and another line
I agree the behavior is unintuitive, frustrating and stupid. That's not reason to forget that email composers are editors. The backspace and DEL keys readily remove unwanted lines, as do mouse swipe + DEL key, and other combo actions. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science.
