laptop problem with external display problem

Greeting, After installed SuSE v8.2, my Toshiba laptop can not bring X window up on the display which linked to the dock (Toshiba Advanced Port Replicator. My screen is Philips 170B. The console is ok? I was tried to change X11 setting, but, it seems not successful for me. How I can make the X window up on multi-screen?
