So, the question is: how do I remove only directories older than 3 days? Or is this a bug?
I'm not sure this is a good idea.
Second, this is really all a non issue. As Cristian points out, systemd is a work in progress and this is an artefact of one revision and will go away with the next release from upstream.
And will this next release land in oS 12.3 as official update? Can you ensure this?
I'm unclear what you're asking. I'm running 13.2 and 12.3; my Fedora disks aren't plugged in right this moment so I can't give you the lowdown there. One 12.2 I have (according to zypper info) Repository: openSUSE-12.2-Update Name: systemd Version: 44-10.8.1 Arch: i586 Vendor: openSUSE Installed: Yes Status: up-to-date and on 12.3 Repository: openSUSE-12.3-Update Name: systemd Version: 195-13.25.1 Arch: i586 Vendor: openSUSE Installed: Yes Status: up-to-date WOW! What a difference! And please note that I ma using the update repositories. Perhaps Cristian can tell up more about what's going on 'upstream',
One reason I also run Fedora is "to see what's coming..."
If this is the only Linux list you subscribe to then you're going to have a very limited view of what's going on.
I have a view of what is going on relative to what I use, openSUSE, not Fedora. Or should one be subscribed to every distribution/upstream project to see what is going on?
You can if you want; some people do. There are projects such as systemd which are moving along rapidly, and it was clear from the outset that these directories in /tmp came from systemd. I'm not saying monitor everything everywhere, but its pretty normal for people to take an interest in the areas of their hobbies or things that impact them, be it cameras, dog/cat breeding, cars, RC model planes. This is a very general list for Suse; there are specific ones for things like the kernel and other areas of development; specific ones like factory, kde, gnome ... See https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailing_lists There are also specific thread out there about systemd - go google. -- Skill without imagination is craftsmanship and gives us many useful objects such as wickerwork picnic baskets.
