I have noticed some problems with opening PDFs in Firefox and Seamonkey, but not Konqueror browsers. When they fail, I get a blank or black display. Here is one link that I tried today:

Konqueror has no problem with this link, but Firefox and Seamonkey both choke on it. This is on 64 bit 12.1 and Adobe reader is installed.
I use Seamonkey almost exclusively on my 11.3 32-bit system. In edit->preferences->Browser->Helper applications, I have it set as 'always ask' for PDF. That way a small window pops up and asks what app I want to use to open the pdf file with and I have that set at Okular. Same thing happens when I click on a pdf file in an e-mail in kmail...small window asking what app I want to use to open it with. The only thing Seamonkey screws up for me on my system is sometimes I can click on a link to open something and if it's an .asp thing, it won't work. Hopefully the pdf thing will work now for you though. I don't download the openSuSE browsers from a repository though, I download straight from Seamonkey or Firefox or Opera etc. For instance, the latest version of Seamonkey I now have (an update the other day as a matter of fact) is 2.7 -- There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American.
