You *are* a glutton for punishment ;-) (If I go wireless and end up with a D-Link I'll know who to e-mail!)
Error for wireless request "Set ESSID" (8B1A) " SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
What gives? How does yast configure this thing that iwconfig can't achieve?
It seems some cards want encryption set first before they'll accept an ESSID and some want quotes around the ESSID and others don't. What does iwconfig report without arguments/parameters? Have you been here?: http://netgo.hjolug.org/
And how can I set up the system so that it allows multiple "contender" networks and connects to the first that is live?
I'll pass on this part, Simon, but my initial reaction is "First things first..." regards, - Carl And Happy New Year!
